Tabular Alumina is a high-purity sintered α-alumina aggregate produced by rapid calcination at temperatures above 1900°C without the use of sintering additives. Its well-developed crystal structure and low open porosity provide exceptional high-temperature strength, excellent thermal shock resistance, and superior corrosion resistance against slag and molten metals.

Through optimized firing and controlled particle size distribution, tabular alumina delivers outstanding physical properties and superior long-term stability in harsh industrial environments.

Key Advantages

Excellent refractoriness and thermal stability

Low open porosity and high bulk density

Outstanding slag and metal corrosion resistance

High thermal shock resistance

High mechanical strength at elevated temperatures

Chemically inert and phase-stable α-Al₂O₃

Low impurity content (Fe₂O₃, SiO₂)

Typical Applications

Tabular Alumina is widely used in:

High-performance refractory bricks and shaped refractories

Monolithic refractories (castables, gunning, ramming mixes)

Steel ladle and tundish linings

Sliding gate plates and nozzles

Aluminum extrusion dies and glass furnace refractories

Kiln furniture and burner blocks

Ceramic grinding media and wear-resistant parts

Its superior properties significantly extend service life and reduce furnace downtime.
